First Essential UK is exhibiting at the Better Business Show on Thursday 17 September, at Worthing Leisure Centre โ€” and we’d like you to come and find us.

What the Better Business Show is

The Better Business Show is the Worthing & Adur Chamber’s flagship event for the local business community โ€” 80+ exhibitors, hundreds of business owners and decision-makers, speed networking, and expert-led sessions, all under one roof for the day. It runs 10amโ€“3pm and entry is free. If you’ve been to a Chamber event before, this is the same idea at a bigger scale โ€” a genuine cross-section of local shops, trades and service businesses, not just the usual networking regulars.

Expect a real mix of Worthing and Adur’s business community in the room for the day โ€” sole traders standing next to established local firms โ€” alongside the speed networking and expert sessions running throughout.

Why we’re there

We work with independent shops, restaurants, salons, care providers, tradespeople and other local businesses across Worthing, Adur and the wider Sussex area โ€” helping them take card payments, run their till and stock on a proper EPOS system, get a website that actually works for them, and handle calls with AI call handling so nothing gets missed while they’re busy serving customers. Most of that work starts as a conversation, not a pitch, which is exactly what the Better Business Show is for.

If you’re a client, a contact, or someone we haven’t met yet who’s curious what we actually do, come and find our stand. Bring a real problem โ€” a card machine contract you’ve never really read, a booking system held together with spreadsheets, calls you know you’re missing โ€” and we’ll talk through what we’d actually do about it, not a generic pitch.

A glimpse of what’s actually on our stand at the Better Business Show

We won’t spell out everything here โ€” that’s rather the point of coming to a stand instead of reading about it on a screen. But a few honest hints: someone will be genuinely on a live call with our AI voice agent, so you can hear how it actually handles a real conversation, not a script read out loud in a demo booth. There’ll be a card machine and an EPOS screen set up so you can see what a member of staff actually sees day to day, not just the customer-facing side most demos show you.

If you’ve got a specific question about your own setup โ€” a card machine contract you’ve never quite understood, a website you can’t update yourself, a phone that rings out during your busiest hour โ€” bring it along. Working through a real problem for five minutes is a better use of the time than watching us click through slides.

Everything on the stand is genuinely hands-off unless you want it to be. Have a look, ask a question, or just say hello โ€” there’s no set demo you’re expected to sit through, and no pressure to stay any longer than you want to.

First Essential UK exhibiting at the Better Business Show, Worthing, Stand 25

Come and meet David and Don

David and Don will be on the stand all day. Bring whatever’s actually slowing your business down right now, or just come and say hello โ€” a five-minute chat or a longer look at how we’ve helped other Worthing and Adur businesses cut down on missed calls, card processing costs and clunky admin, either is fine. No pitch required.

Find us on Stand 25. If the stand’s busy when you arrive, put your name down and one of us will come and find you โ€” a quick handshake and a mental note is all it takes, and we’d rather do that than have you wait around.

How to get your free ticket

Entry to the Better Business Show is free, but the Chamber asks people to book ahead as places fill up. You can register directly with the Worthing & Adur Chamber, and it only takes a couple of minutes.

Frequently asked questions

When and where is the Better Business Show?

Thursday 17 September 2026, 10amโ€“3pm, at Worthing Leisure Centre.

Is it free to attend?

Yes. Entry is free, and booking ahead through the Worthing & Adur Chamber is recommended.

Do I need to be an existing client to come and talk to you?

No. We’re just as happy to meet businesses we haven’t worked with yet โ€” the stand is a conversation, not a sales counter.

What can I actually get from a five-minute chat at the stand?

A straight answer about whether what you’re doing now โ€” for payments, EPOS, your website, or handling calls โ€” actually fits your business, and what a sensible next step would look like if it doesn’t. No obligation, no follow-up unless you want one.

Will there be a demo I have to sit through?

No. The Better Business Show isn’t a sit-down-and-watch kind of stand โ€” have a look at whatever catches your eye, ask a question if you’ve got one, or just say hello.

What if I can’t make it to the show?

The Better Business Show isn’t the only way to reach us โ€” get in touch directly and we’ll pick up the same conversation without needing to catch us on the day.
