NewGen Pharmacy: a modern pharmacy with a digital-first presence
A GPhC-regulated community pharmacy in Stratford, London, built for patients across the UK with a full web presence, brand, AI, and paid advertising all handled by one team.

Bringing the pharmacy to the patient, not the other way round
Tucked into the High Street in Stratford, East London, NewGen Pharmacy was built on a straightforward idea: that getting the right medication and the right advice should not mean queuing at a counter or waiting days for an appointment. Operating from Unit 4, 245 High Street, E15 2LS and registered with the NHS as an online pharmacy (ODS code X172493), the team here serves patients across the UK, not just the postcode.
The range of services reflects that ambition. Prescription fulfilment and delivery, weight management support, care home pharmacy, and a growing list of private health services sit alongside the everyday dispensing that any good community pharmacy does. Regulated by the GPhC and accountable to the standards that come with that, NewGen is the kind of pharmacy that takes its responsibilities seriously, and wanted a digital presence that showed it.
A pharmacy with real ambition and a digital presence that did not match it
When NewGen came to us, the clinical side of the business was already solid. The team knew what they were doing, the services were there, and patients who found them were pleased. The problem was that finding them was harder than it should have been.

The website they had was functional but not built to convert. There was no consistent brand carrying the right tone across every channel. Social media was sporadic, and without a paid search presence, patients actively looking for services like online prescription delivery or weight management support were landing elsewhere.
For a regulated pharmacy, the stakes around digital communication are higher than for most businesses. Every piece of content, every ad, every automated response has to stay inside the lines set by the GPhC and the wider healthcare communications framework. The team needed a partner who understood that constraint, not one they would have to manage and worry about.
They also needed everything to work together. A great website and poor social media is a mismatch patients notice. Good ads pointing to a weak landing page wastes budget. They came to First Essential because they wanted one team across all of it, with no gaps in the middle.
A full digital build for a flagship regulated pharmacy
From the brand foundations through to paid search, we handled every element of NewGen's digital presence, so the team could focus on patient care.

Built for regulated healthcare from the start
Working in a GPhC-regulated environment means every piece of digital output carries clinical and legal responsibility. We understand that constraint and build within it from day one - no retrofitting, no back-and-forth with a compliance officer to fix copy that went too far. The website, the ads, the social content, and the AI assistant were all designed to meet healthcare communication standards as a baseline, not an afterthought.
Website
We built NewGen's website from scratch: clear, compliant, and designed to give patients the confidence to choose their pharmacy online. Clean service pages, an intuitive layout, and copy that stays firmly within the boundaries a regulated pharmacy requires. The site covers prescriptions, weight management, care home services, and private healthcare in a way patients can actually navigate and trust.
Branding
We developed the NewGen Pharmacy brand identity from the ground up, giving the pharmacy a consistent, trustworthy look and feel that works equally well on a prescription bag, a social post, and a Google ad. The brand signals professionalism and approachability in equal measure, which matters enormously in healthcare, where patients need to feel safe before they share anything personal.
Social media and posting
We manage NewGen's social media presence across multiple platforms, creating and scheduling content that informs, engages, and builds a sense of community around the pharmacy, all within regulated healthcare communication standards. Health topics require care and precision; we plan every post so the content adds value without straying into territory that would put the GPhC registration at risk.
AI solutions
We integrated an AI assistant into NewGen's digital presence so patients can get quick, helpful answers to common queries around the clock, without waiting for the pharmacy to open or a member of staff to become free. Routine questions about opening hours, how to order a prescription, or what services are available are now handled automatically, which means the team's attention goes to the patients who need it most.
Google Ads
We run targeted Google Ads campaigns on behalf of NewGen, placing the pharmacy in front of people actively searching for the services they offer, whether that is online prescription delivery, weight management support, or a local community pharmacy in East London. Every campaign is built around the services NewGen actually provides, so spend goes to traffic that is likely to convert into patients.
Full digital management
With website, brand, social, AI, and paid advertising all handled by First Essential, NewGen's team has a single point of contact for every aspect of their digital presence. Nothing falls through the gaps between suppliers, and no one is left chasing three different agencies for an answer. One team, one brief, everything joined up.
How the pieces connected, and why that mattered for a regulated pharmacy
The order of the work mattered as much as the work itself. We started with the brand, because without a consistent visual identity and tone of voice, everything built on top would feel disconnected. Once we knew how NewGen should look and sound, the website came next: built to serve both patients browsing on a phone and the GPhC inspectors who would eventually review its content.
Social media launched from the same creative foundation, so the posts, the profile headers, and the website all feel like they belong to the same pharmacy. Then the AI assistant went in, trained on NewGen's specific services and FAQs, so the answers it gives are accurate to what the pharmacy actually offers rather than generic healthcare copy.
Google Ads came last, because running paid traffic to a weak website or a poorly built landing page is burning budget. By the time the campaigns went live, the destination was ready, the brand was coherent, and the message on the ad matched what the patient found when they clicked through.
"A regulated pharmacy needs a digital partner who understands what compliant looks like. First Essential built everything to that standard from day one."
An AI assistant trained on NewGen's own services
The AI assistant we integrated is not a generic chatbot dropped onto the site. It was configured against NewGen's specific service list, opening hours, prescription ordering process, and FAQs - so the answers it gives are accurate to what this pharmacy offers, not a generic approximation. Patients get a useful response at any hour. The team gets fewer repetitive phone calls and more time for clinical work.
A pharmacy that looks the part and reaches the patients who need it
NewGen Pharmacy now has a professional, compliant digital presence that reflects the standard of care they deliver. The website is live, the brand is consistent across every channel, and the AI assistant is handling patient queries around the clock so the team can focus on dispensing and clinical care rather than answering the same questions by phone all day.
The Google Ads campaigns put NewGen in front of patients who are already looking for services like online prescription delivery and weight management support, at the moment they are searching. And because the brand, the site, and the ads were all built by the same team to the same brief, the experience from first click through to prescription order is joined up rather than patchy.
For a pharmacy in a competitive sector, working within strict communication guidelines, having one partner who understands all of that and never needs to be briefed twice has made a real difference to how the team operates day to day. Less time managing agencies, more time with patients.
One team, one brief, everything joined up
Because the website, brand, social content, AI assistant, and paid campaigns were all built and run by the same team, there are no gaps between them. The ad matches the landing page. The landing page matches the brand. The brand matches the social posts. And when something needs updating - a new service, a change in opening hours, a new regulatory requirement - one call to First Essential is all it takes to get every channel updated in step.
