Ephesus Brighton: a Turkish kitchen with a genuinely visible online presence

One of Brighton's most-reviewed authentic Turkish restaurants, Ephesus had the food and the welcome to earn a TripAdvisor Travellers' Choice award. We built the website, branding and local visibility to match what they put on every plate.

The business

A kitchen built around honest food and a warm welcome

Ephesus Brighton sits at 80 to 82 Preston Street, a short walk from the seafront, in one of Brighton's most-visited dining streets. It is an authentic Turkish restaurant that has quietly become one of the best-reviewed independents in the city, earning a TripAdvisor Travellers' Choice award for 2025 and accumulating well over a thousand guest reviews.

The kitchen's philosophy is rooted in the Turkish tradition of sharing at the table. Fresh meze arrive in generous portions meant to be passed around. Charcoal-grilled kebabs are cooked to order. The house specials, salads and desserts are all made with the same attention to quality ingredients and consistency that the team behind the Efes group have built their reputation on.

It is the kind of restaurant where guests come back, bring a group, and tell their friends. The word of mouth was working. What Ephesus needed was a digital presence that worked just as hard.

The challenge

The restaurant was excellent. The online presence did not reflect that yet.

Brighton is a competitive dining city. Visitors researching where to eat start on Google, TripAdvisor and social media, and they make up their minds quickly. Ephesus had the reviews and the reputation, but they needed everything else to catch up: a proper website, a consistent brand identity, active social channels and the local search optimisation that would put them in front of people searching for Turkish food in Brighton. Without all of that working together, even a well-loved restaurant risks being overlooked by diners who never manage to find it.

What we did

A full digital build across five connected areas

We came in across website, brand, social media, Google Business and organic SEO, so every part of the picture pointed the right people through the door, and each piece built on the last.

Website build

We designed and built a clean, fast restaurant site that does what a restaurant website needs to do: show the menu beautifully, make it easy to book a table, and load perfectly on a mobile phone while a diner is deciding where to eat that evening. It reflected the warmth and generosity of the Ephesus experience from the first click.

Branding

A restaurant that earns its reputation through quality and consistency deserves a visual identity that says the same. We built a coherent brand for Ephesus covering logo treatment, colour, typography and photography direction, so every touchpoint from the website header to a social post carries the same confident, authentic feel.

Social media

We set up and manage active social channels that show the restaurant as it really is: the food, the atmosphere, the generosity of the portions, the kind of evening you will have. For a restaurant that is built around sharing and community, social media is the natural place to tell that story and keep Ephesus front of mind for both locals and visitors planning a night out in Brighton.

Google Business and local visibility

Most diners searching for a Turkish restaurant in Brighton start on Google Maps or with a local search query. We built out and fully optimised the Ephesus Google Business profile so the restaurant appears where those searches happen, with the right photos, opening hours, menu links and review responses in place to give potential diners the confidence to book.

SEO

We carried out on-page search optimisation on the website so it climbs for the terms that actually bring in bookings: Turkish restaurant Brighton, meze Brighton, best kebab Brighton and the longer searches visitors type when they are genuinely looking to eat. Organic visibility keeps building over time, meaning the investment keeps working long after launch day.

How it came together

One team, all the pieces joined up

The reason we built across all five areas rather than just handing over a website is that each part of a restaurant's online presence feeds the others. A well-built site needs to rank for it to be found. A Google Business profile needs consistent branding and up-to-date information to convert a search into a visit. Social media needs to point somewhere worth clicking. SEO needs good content to work with.

By bringing everything together under one team, we could make sure the brand Ephesus put out on Instagram matched the website a diner landed on, which matched the Google listing they found first, which matched the atmosphere they walked into on Preston Street. That consistency is what makes the whole thing credible.

We worked closely with the Ephesus team throughout, making sure the digital presence reflected their voice: warm, generous and genuinely proud of what they cook. This is not a chain. The personality of the place matters, and that had to come through in every pixel.

The result

A restaurant that deserved to be found, now genuinely findable

Ephesus was already a respected restaurant when we came on board. The TripAdvisor Travellers' Choice award for 2025 and the depth of their review score spoke for themselves. Our job was to make sure that reputation reached every potential diner searching online, and to build the digital infrastructure that keeps attracting new guests without the team having to think about it.

The website now shows the restaurant in its best light and makes booking simple. The brand travels consistently from the site to every social post and every search result. The Google Business profile puts Ephesus in front of Brighton's diners at the precise moment they are deciding where to eat. And the social channels keep the story alive between visits, building a following of people who either love Ephesus already or are about to discover it for the first time.

The result is a digital presence that is as honest and as good as the food itself, which is exactly what a restaurant like this one deserves.

A polished website that represents the restaurant well and drives bookings
A consistent brand that travels from the website to social to every search result
A fully optimised Google Business profile for Brighton local search
Social channels that actively showcase the food and bring in new diners
Organic SEO building long-term visibility that keeps working after launch
